If the temperature is too high, the fiber will become brittle; if the temperature is too low, the yarn will become stiff, increasing the risk of breakage. Synthetic fiber yarns (such as polyester and nylon) can withstand temperatures of 20℃-28℃. Still, sudden temperature changes must be avoided to prevent uneven tension of the yarn due to thermal expansion and contraction. In addition, the temperature difference between each area in the workshop should be controlled within 2℃ to ensure that the yarn is evenly stressed.
2. Humidity Requirements
Relative humidity is generally maintained at 50%-70% RH. For hygroscopic yarns, such as cotton and viscose fibers, the moisture should be controlled at 60%-70% RH. Higher humidity can reduce static electricity and reduce the probability of yarn hairiness entanglement. For low-hygroscopic yarns, such as polyester and polypropylene, the moisture is more suitable at 50%-60% RH to avoid yarn adhesion due to excessive humidity. At the same time, humidity fluctuations must be strictly controlled, and the hourly change should not exceed 5% RH, otherwise, it will cause uneven moisture absorption or release of the yarn, affecting strength and elongation.
3. The Impact of Abnormal Temperature And Humidity
High temperature and high humidity environments can easily cause the metal parts of the equipment to rust, affecting the operating accuracy; low temperature and low humidity will aggravate the static electricity phenomenon of the yarn, increase hairiness, and breakage. Therefore, the workshop needs to be equipped with temperature and humidity adjustment equipment, such as central air conditioning, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and real-time monitoring through sensors, and flexible adjustments according to yarn materials and seasonal changes to ensure the smooth progress of the warping process.
